Microsoft Updates Windows Live FolderShare

After acquiring the folder synchronization software FolderShare over two years ago, Microsoft has, at long last, decided to update it.  Enhancements include enhanced setup, improved performance with Windows Vista, a better system tray menu and backend improvements for synchronization.

In addition, they’ve updated the FolderShare.com site and they’ve even taken it upon themselves to add a Windows Live FolderShare team blog.  (Of course, if it’s anything like other Microsoft software team blogs, it’ll be updated once or twice in the next 30 days and then become dormant for a year or two until another update is thrown our way.)

If you’ve never used the software before, you might take it upon yourself to give it a try.  You can use it’s well-known, loved-by-many synchronization features to keep your My Documents folder synchronized on the many computers you access throughout a day or even keep your Firefox profile mirrored on those same computers.
