A New Version of Google Docs & Spreadsheets is Coming

0 Comments 26 June 2007

The Official Google Docs & Spreadsheets blog just announced, moments ago, that we can all expect to see a brand new version of the online productivity application released tomorrow.  They’re mum on the details but rumors have been spreading that Google could, at any time, be releasing a Web-based PowerPoint competitor.  We’ll be providing details of the release tomorrow as soon as they’re live.

Update:  Well, that didn’t take long.  Less than 2 hours after our initial post, we began seeing the new version of Google Docs & Spreadsheets featuring: a new user interface, the addition of folders for organizational purposes and Google Suggest integration.

Update 2: No, there’s no word of a PowerPoint competitor…at least not yet.
