Longhorn Server Shall Be Known As…

While the name hasn’t officially been announced yet, Microsoft has more than a couple of different references to “Windows Server 2008″ on the home page of the french TechNet site. Windows codename Longhorn, as it is known now, is currently in its third beta and is expected to be released towards the end of the year.

Update: This name change was officially announced today at WinHEC ‘07, the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/default.mspx.
