Reuters, from a source at Gartner Inc., is reporting that Microsoft’s release of it’s next-generation operating system, Vista, could be delayed again by a few months. Their estimate is that the new OS should be released by April-June of 2007 as opposed to the release estimate of January ‘07 given by Microsoft. A spokeswoman from Microsoft has denied the statement and said that Vista is still on track for a January release.
“Gartner said Windows XP took five months to go from a second test
release to the start of production, but the magnitude of technological improvement in Vista is closer to Windows 2000, which took 16 months
between the second test and production.”
I can hear you now…”surely this can’t be possible. Surely. “
It is possible…and stop calling me Shirley.
