Could December 1st, 2006 be the Official Windows Vista Launch Date?

0 Comments 08 February 2006

There’s a report going around the “blogosphere” this morning about a man accidentally stumbling across the supposed Vista release date by viewing the source of a page where people in the U.K. can guess as to what release date Microsoft will choose – and, if they get it right, they can win prizes.

Supposedly, when you make your guess, a video appears giving you a “hint” of the real date.  This man discovered that videos played upon a guess of a date of November 30th or earlier come from a server with a name of “Early” and dates of December 2 and on come from a server called “Late.”  Only time (and a quick yank of the game from Microsoft later today) will tell whether this is true.

Here’s the story: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2006/02/08/windows_vista_december_1/
