Sweet Little Service – Pandora

0 Comments 07 February 2006

Okay, I know many people have already reported/blogged this little online app already but I’m going to blog on it anyway – just in case any of my readers haven’t experimented with it yet.  The service I’m referring to is Pandora.  Currently at pandora.com, the service takes music that you like and offers you a customized radio station based on your musical preference.  I’m aware of other such similar services but this one is unique in that it’s actually accurate - that’s where it counts.  I’ve set up three stations thus far, for music related to “Audioslave,” “The Postal Service,” and “Muse” and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the music Pandora matches up with these bands.

Go ahead and give it a try.  The sign-up is free (ads are played with the station but I have actually yet to hear a single ad – maybe no advertisers on board yet?) but there’s an ad-free subscription service available as well.  http://www.pandora.com.
